Goal of the week: Messi

To be fair any of Barcelona’s four goals against Racing on Tuesday night could have made the grade but Messi’s second effort wins the golden letter opener this week.

Watching it back again, the defending does look suspect, but with the little Argentinian it’s not always what he does, but how fast he does it.

Racing know he’s going to start drifting inside at some point – they’re just not quick enough to stop it, and the finish is horrendously good. Ronaldo is banging them in for Real but Messi’s goals always seem to ooze that extra bit of raw ‘wow’ factor.
