The weekend preview

Serie A is upon us again and much attention will be focused on Juventus this season after they made a number of signings in an attempt to come out of what has been a dark period by their standards.
They play Chievo Verona at home on Sunday and Brazilian midfielder Diego (pictured), a summer signing from Werder Bremen, is set to play. Fellow Brazilian Felipe Melo, a holding midfielder signed from Fiorentina, misses out due to suspension. Alessandro Del Piero is a serious doubt for Juve with a back problem.
Elsewhere and Inter, the defending champions, are to take on Bari at home on Sunday with Samuel Eto’o set to make his debut.
Milan got to Siena on Saturday but will be without Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, suspended after being sent off in his last game for Real Madrid.
England’s Premier league sees Tottenham at the top with Chelsea not far behind after both started well. Chelsea are off to Fulham on Sunday while Spurs travel to West Ham on the same day.
Manchester United, who went down 1-0 at Burnley in midweek, are away to Wigan on the Saturday and Arsenal are at home to Portsmouth.
Further afield and the German Bundesliga features Mainz v Bayern Munich, and defending champions Wolfsburg at home to Hamburg.
Over in Portugal there’s Sporting v Braga and FC Porto v Nacional, plus Guimaraes v Benfica to look forward to.
