Barca travel to Valencia on Saturday night, and look for set for one of their trickiest tasks of the season as the home side have won five games in a row.

Real will be hoping their rivals slip up at La Mestalla but themselves have a big task away to third placed Sevilla on Sunday.

At the other end of the league, it’s super-tight and Espanyol, who are third from bottom, need all three points at home to Betis on Sunday, while Recreativo, second up from the floor, are also at home to Mallorca. Bottom club Numancia have to travel to Almeria, themselves desperate for a win, on Saturday.

English PL: Liverpool are away to Hull on Saturday and must win to stand any realistic chance of beating Manchester United to the title. Hull are desperately looking to avoid a defeat that would throw them right into the relegation fight.

United play Tottenham the same afternoon.

On Sunday fourth-placed Arsenal host Middlesbrough, who are in big trouble three from bottom and three points behind 17th-placed Blackburn. Newcastle, in 19th and on 31 points, don’t play until Monday when nothing less than a home win against Portsmouth will do. Bottom side West Brom, who are pretty much done for, are at home to Sunderland on Saturday.

Serie A, Italy: With six games left Inter are ten points clear of Milan and only a meltdown of epic proportinos will see Jose Mourinho’s side fail to take the title. They are away to Napoli on Sunday. Juventus and Milan, who are both on 64 points to Inter’s 74, are away to Reggina and home to Palermo respectively.

At the bottom Chievo are edging to safety on 34 points with six games left. Below them there’s a fierce scrap between Torino, Bologna, Lecce and Reggina to avoid the three relegation berths. Reggina and Lecce are in biggest trouble, on 23 and 24 points, while only a point seperates Torino in 17th on 27 and Bologna in 18th on 26. On Sunday Bologna are at home to Genoa and Torino face Siena.

Elsewhere: In Germany top of the table Wolfsburg can take a big step towards beating Bayern to the league if they can get three points away to Cottbus on Sunday. But Cottbus are fighting to avoid relegation along with Borussia M’gladbach, and Arminia Bielefeld. Karlsruhe are bottom and four points adrift.

Over in Portugal Porto are odds on for the title. Again. They are four points clear of Sporting and are at home to Vitoria Setubal on Sunday.

The Turkish title race is proving a bit of a beauty. Sivasspor are top on 57 points, with Besiktas only a point behind with six games left. Sivasspor play Trabzonspor on Saturday, and Besiktas travel to Eskisehirspor on Sunday.
